Sometimes food shopping without having eaten anything before ends in fantasizing about making the greatest soup / stew / warm-steaming-something the world has ever seen. Regarding this habit I was told the other day that I was sooo German.

Thanks, I know. We Germans love our food that needs to cook for 5 hours and smells so godly that even the neighbor’s cats would come to check in. If only they could summit my balcony…
